Leif Erikson

   Leif Erikson was an explorer from Iceland that was looking for a new land that is abundant in new resources. Leif Erikson was from Iceland. Leif was planning to find a new land with new resources that was supposedly filled with timber.
Leif set out on his expedition in the year 1000.

   On his expedition, he used ships to set out exploring. They did find what they were looking for because they found land and that is what they were looking for. He ended up finding North America. The first time he sailed out to look for land, he only found a couple islands and the second time, he found mainland.

New things this year

This year, I had an exciting trip to Barrow. It was awesome. I learned a couple new words, ate so e new foods, and most of all, I met some new people. It has a recreational center, which has many fun activities. It is also on the coast, so you can go and play (in summer, because in winter you would freeze your fingers off). It also has a good middle school and many good teachers. So overall, it was a very fun and exciting trip.
